THE GATE SYSTEM
WHAT IS A GATE?
Gates are access points from the resort boundary into the backcountry. They are not marked runs – they are entry points to uncontrolled terrain. Each gate has specific information, risks and recommendations.
INFORMATION of THE GATE
Every gate is different. Know where it leads and check its information before entering.
NO PATROL BEYOND GATEs
Once you pass the gate, you are in the backcountry. There is no control, no avalanche mitigation.
MAKE YOUR DECISION
You are responsible for your decision. Assess the conditions, your group and your ability.
LEAVE NO TRACE
Respect the mountain, other users and the local community.

Check the forecast, avalanche bulletin and conditions and bring the right equipment.
