gate overview

Gate 10 provides access to a more remote skier’s right zone toward Moiwa, combining open bowls, glades, and natural terrain features with deep storm snow and fewer tracks. The area rewards riders willing to venture farther from the resort, though route choice and speed management are important to avoid long traverses and flat exits.

Terrain features

Open powder bowls, spaced tree glades, natural pillows and drops, plus occasional ravine terrain creating playful freeride options throughout the descent. Lower sections include flatter terrain and mandatory traverses on the exit, making momentum and smart line selection essential.

Expert tips

Don’t push too far or you’ll end up well outside the natural return lines. Strong navigation and solid orientation skills are essential, especially in low visibility or deep snow, as the terrain funnels away from the resort.

how to get in/out

Accessed from the top of the Moiwa Quad Lift by traversing skier’s right along the boundary rope to the clearly marked Gate 10 entrance. Following the main fall-line gully and gradually drifting skier’s left will naturally lead back toward the Moiwa base area without requiring long traverses.
