What sets us apart is not being a large school or a generic operation — we are a small group of highly trained professionals who each work in different schools — always Niseko United–affiliated — and who have dedicated more than 20 winters each to teaching, guiding and living in the snow. Niseko freeride, Niseko backcountry and the Niseko Gates are not just part of our work; they are part of our lives.
Every season, every storm cycle and every early‑morning ascent has shaped the way we understand these mountains. We are obsessive about snow, technique, safety and rider development — not because it sounds good, but because it is the only way we know how to work. Teaching and coaching are as central to our identity as guiding; we’ve spent decades refining how we help riders progress, correct habits, build confidence and truly understand the mountain. Our background includes the highest certifications from our home countries, experience training instructors and years of refining both ski lessons and snowboard lessons for riders who want real progression, real awareness and real confidence.
One of the reasons this project exists is because we’ve seen the frustration many visitors face when booking a lesson in a large school: you never know who will teach you, and too often riders end up with a first‑year instructor who isn’t fully prepared for Niseko’s terrain, powder conditions or the demands of the backcountry. We wanted to fix that. We wanted to create a place where people can understand the Niseko Gates properly, where backcountry knowledge is accessible, and where every rider can be paired with an instructor who genuinely fits their needs and goals.
Our promise is simple: professionalism, passion and expertise — delivered with honesty and respect for the mountains. We don’t pretend to own all the knowledge; instead, we bring together experience, verified information and the collective wisdom of the community to help riders make better decisions and enjoy Niseko’s terrain more safely.
